MBT Marketing is an integrated marketing agency serving regional and national brands. We are seeking a social media specialist to fill a full time opening in our close-in SE Portland office. This is a mid-level position requiring 1-3 years of relevant professional experience. If you enjoy following the latest social trends, researching brands, driving brand awareness and providing measurable results for your clients, you may be the person we are looking for. The Social Media Specialist must have professional experience managing social media campaigns for a business or organization. Working with the account and client service team you will create, update and execute social media content and paid campaigns for a variety of clients. The right candidate will be an organized self-starter with the ability to multitask.

MBT facilitates ongoing professional development and education. Our team has the opportunity to attend networking and informational events with local professional associations including SEMPDX, Portland Ad Federation, Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and more.

Core Responsibilities

  • Budget management
  • Implement ad copy and artwork updates
  • Participate in internal and client meetings both in person and on the phone
  • Analyze campaign performance data
  • Deliver actionable insights
  • Respond to trends identified in account performance data to improve results on an ongoing basis
  • 1-2 years professional experience executing social media campaigns either as an in-house marketer or working for a media agency
  • Experience with social analytics and trends
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales preferred
  • Produce monthly content calendars and communicate with AEs/Clients on approval of content
  • A strong knowledge of social media best practices.
  • Experience in social media management platforms like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer
  • Experience in paid social media platforms such as Facebook for Business and Twitter for Business
  • Excellent grammar, spelling ,and attention to detail
  • Proficient with both Mac and PC

Qualifications

  • 1+ year full-time experience managing social media campaigns as in-house marketer or working for a media agency
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social analytics and trends
  • Exceptional copywriting skills

Compensation

The compensation package includes competitive base salary, performance and/or discretionary bonus, health/dental/vision benefits, paid vacation, holidays and sick time. Perks include company sponsored events from whitewater rafting on a Tuesday to ping pong happy hours. We have a casual, caffeinated, dog-friendly office. Many of our team members have the opportunity to travel for client meetings and industry conferences from time to time.
