Job description – Digital Paid Media Specialist

MBT Marketing is an integrated marketing agency serving regional and national brands. We are seeking a talented digital paid media specialist to fill a full time opening in our close in SE Portland office. If you have a passion for direct response advertising and get excited about improving measurable results for your clients, you might be a good fit. The Digital Paid Media Specialist must have a good working knowledge of search marketing. Previous experience managing client accounts with significant Google Adwords budgets is necessary to succeed in this role. In addition to managing day to day updates, the Digital Paid Media Specialist is ready to take responsibility for client reporting, performance analysis and strategic planning for a group of paid search engagements after a short transition and ramp up period. Working with the Director of Digital you will create, update and execute against robust digital marketing plans that set aggressive performance targets, then exceed them. The successful candidate will work with junior staff, our in house creative team and client services to manage all aspects of campaigns for clients using Search, Shopping, Display and Video functionality within the Google Adwords platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create Adwords campaigns
  • Keyword research and optimization
  • Bidding strategy and implementation
  • Budget management
  • Implement ad copy and artwork updates
  • Manage ad extensions
  • Create client facing reports
  • Participate in internal and client meetings both in person and on the phone
  • Analyze campaign performance data
  • Deliver actionable insights
  • Respond to trends identified in account performance data to improve results on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • 2+ years full time experience managing digital media campaigns with a focus on the Google Adwords platform.
  • Familiarity with the BingAds
  • Basic understanding of SEO and website user experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Google Docs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and ability to create client dashboards
  • Experience working with web developers to implement tracking and remarketing tags
  • Ability to deliver against deadlines

  • Agency experience managing multiple client accounts

  • Landing page creation tools like UnBounce or Optimizely
  • WordPress or other CMS
  • Familiarity with Facebook Ads, Doubleclick Bid Manager, Doubleclick Campaign Manager, Doubleclick for Search, Marin Software, Kenshoo and/or Acquisio
  • Intermediate/Advanced Google Analytics experience
  • Experience implementing and/or troubleshooting conversion tracking such as Adwords publisher tracking or Bing UET

Compensation

The compensation package includes competitive base salary, performance and/or discretionary bonus, health/dental/vision benefits, paid vacation, holidays and sick time. Perks include company sponsored events from whitewater rafting on a Tuesday to ping pong happy hours. We have a casual, caffeinated, dog friendly office. Many of our team members have the opportunity to travel for client meetings and industry conferences from time to time.

Candidates meeting the base requirements will be eligible for the Digital Paid Media Specialist title, more experienced candidates may be eligible for the Digital Paid Media Strategist or other titles.
